Seeing as most of my LJ friends are all webcomic-reading geeks, can anyone recommend to me sciencey comics that would be suitable to print out and put in my lab at work? I've already got the Scarygoround Ryan-yogurt-pot-lid-petri-dish-licking-i ncident strip but would like some more.
Any suggestions?

I'm currently re-reading through the Sluggy Freelance archives, and I'd forgotten how much the bottom left panel of this strip made me laugh.
Ahh, Diablo II reminiscing! ^_^

Well, I'm up to date with the Penny Arcade archives. What comic to read through next? Maybe I'll go give Sluggy Freelance anotehr try...
GAME called Jam to let him know about the Wii release day. They're not doing a midnight release (boo!), but they say they've got more than enough consoles to cover the pre-orders (yay!). However, the various hardware accessories and games may be in short supply. We'll definitely get Wii sports, but there's a small chance we might not get Twilight Princess. This would be a pretty darn aweful secnario, so to cover ourselves we'll be getting up at some evil time in the morning and heading into town several hours before opening time to make sure we can get ourselves a copy. It's gonna be cold, and probably wet and windy too. But we'll have tea and pasties and by the time the sun comes up we'll have a Wii! :D

I want to read Penny Arcade, but the connection is being soooo damned slow! Bad internets.
Friday night has so much good tele on - QI, Friday Night With Jonathan Ross, the Jonathan Ross's Japanorama. Lots of Ross. I do like the Japanorama show because it's camp and silly and informative about the crazy crazy world over there, but it's not on until 11.30pm and to be honest I have troubles staying up to watch Friday Night. Bah!
I do wonder how I ever managed when I was a student - late nights and dancing and stuff. I think I struggled wven then to be honest. Sure I like a night out, but I struggle to keep myself awake much beyond 10.00pm even if I'm being entertained. I've been known to fall asleep in the cinema! And during Bill Baily concerts, for which I am to be punished in a future life I'm certain (the falling asleep, not the going to the concert).
My lens should arrive today! But I'm boring people so I'll stop now.
Friday, yay!

Argh! Penny Arcade is killing this computer! For some insane reason every time I try to load the page it tries to install Adobe Acrobat! Seeing as these are minimalist computers with no access to the usual collection of office programmes that's a rather odd and dangerous thing.
Thinking about it, linking to the offending page might not have been a good idea. Nobody click on the above link, as although the comic is brilliant it's clearly trying to Destroy Us All right now.
Eek!
